Northern Ireland Water - A New Way Forward

Northern Ireland Water has published its first Strategic Business Plan.  This challenging and exciting plan sets out the agenda of activity for the period 2007 – 2010, with an outline indication of intentions to 2016.

Business as usual for Northern Ireland Water

The start of April 2007 will see Water Service become a Government Owned Company as planned.  The new organisation will be known as ‘Northern Ireland Water’ with a new company logo, unveiled today.

Cairns awards £122M contract for wastewater treatment.

Regional Development Minister, David Cairns, announced that Glen Water has been awarded a £122 million contract for waste water treatment.

The Omega Public Private Partnerships (PPP) Project will upgrade wastewater treatment facilities responsible for around 20% of Northern Ireland’s wastewater treatment capacity and 100% of sludge disposal.  It represents savings in excess of 17% from Water Service’s initial estimates.
