Electrical Earthing

Never earth anything to your water supply pipe.

The safe earthing of electrical appliances in your home is your responsibility and you should consult an approved electrical contractor for any advice. Many houses built before 1966 rely on their water pipe as an earth, but the increasing number of plastic pipes reduces the effectiveness of such an earth.
