Church Road Lisburn- Pipelaying & Road Closure

03 April 2015 14:33

NI Water is currently undertaking pipelaying work in the Church Road area of Lisburn, as part of its £14m Castor Bay to Belfast Water Trunk Main Scheme, an extensive project that will safeguard water quality and improve the security of supply for NI Water’s customers.

We would like to advise the public that pipelaying works are scheduled to take place on Church Road during the week commencing Wednesday 8th April 2015 for a period of approximately 6 weeks. The section of Church Road affected by the work lies between the junction with Lough Road and St. Andrew’s Water Pumping Station (beside Temple Golf Club).

To ensure pipelaying is carried out in the safest possible manner, Church Road will be closed to through traffic from its junction with the Carryduff Road to its junction with the Lough Road during this time. The diversion route approved by Transport NI is via Carryduff Road; Saintfield Road and Comber Road.

NI Water and Lagan Construction Group would like to thank local residents and road users in advance for their patience and co-operation and will do everything we can to reduce disruption in the area while we complete this essential strategic improvement work. Signage will be in place and access will be maintained at all times for residents within the construction area.

Customer queries should be directed to Waterline on 08457 440088, quoting “Lagan Construction, Castor Bay to Belfast Water Trunk Main”.
