Trade Effluent Charges

Charges are determined using a standard water industry methodology - the Mogden formula. For more information on the Mogden formula read our Scheme of Charges 2010/2011

From the 1st April 2010 the following charges will apply:

Mogden Formula Element Charge
Reception & Conveyance (R)              £0.1934m³ 
Volumetric Treatment (V)                       £0.2181m³
Biological Treatment (B)                        £0.1445m³
Sludge & Treatment & Disposal (S)    £0.1684m³
Standard Unit Cost                               £0.7245m³

For standard strengths in the Mogden formula, those strengths will be:

Os Settled Chemical Oxygen Demand 377 mg/l
Ss Suspended solids 290 mg/l
