Visitor Centre

Northern Ireland Water provides a range of visitor facilities at the valley including a restaurant, information centre, conference centre and education centre - all housed in two old colonial style bungalows and enjoying delightful views over the parkland .

This Visitor Centre is an important asset which offers tremendous potential as an educational, community and tourist venue. It has recently undergone a much needed and highly exciting refurbishment and rebranding programme which will make it one of Northern Ireland’s leading education,community and tourism features .

As part of this programme. Northern Ireland Water has created a new and innovative exhibition for the Visitor Centre which includes:

  • a 3D exhibition of NI water projects both historical and modern day.
  • A set of  informative and fun interactives for both adults and children covering 
    • Global Rainfall
    • Water Cycle
    • Wildlife Booth
    • How We Use & Waste Water
    • Wildlife Viewing
    • Water Aid

together with a wide range of historical and wildlife artefacts.

 

The Centre was opened to the public in May 2007 and demonstrates Northern Ireland Water's commitment to the community it.
