We get a lot of rain in Northern Ireland but it is not rainwater that goes into your taps, the water has to be cleaned before it goes into the taps.So the less water we waste the more cost effective the system is and the less energy is needed to produce that water. We continue to reduce leakage in our pipe network and provide our customers with advice on how to use water wisely

This section contains information on how to use water more wisely in your home. With a few small changes to the way we use water, significant savings can be made.

We each use around 145 litres of clean, treated water every day. The pie chart below shows where the average household uses water.
