Project Alpha’ is one of the biggest projects undertaken by NI Water and produces almost 50% of the drinking water in Northern Ireland. The scheme involved upgrading the existing water treatment facilities, not only at Dunore Point, (Antrim) but also in Ballinrees (Coleraine), Castor Bay (Craigavon), and Moyola (Magherafelt).
