The number of properties without water across Northern Ireland now stands at 108

04 January 2011 18:00

There has been another significant reduction in relation to the number of properties without a water supply across the provision, with a figure now at just over 100 properties which is a decrease from yesterday’s figure of 251.

NI Water has reported that 1300 properties in the Dunmurry area will face a limited curtailment of supply this evening. The area affected include parts of BT17 and BT27, full details are available on the website www.niwater.com

NI Water has some 500 staff on the ground dealing with supply issues and also checking for leakage in private and commercial premises which remains a major cause of concern.

NI Water would re-iterate its appeal to customers to check their premises for any damage to pipes and repair these as soon as possible as there remains a significant problem with leakage on the customer side, which has resulted in a continued high level of demand on supply.
