Downpatrick Sewer Improvement Work

06 December 2011 12:21

NI Water is scheduled to commence essential improvement work on the sewerage infrastructure in Church Street, Downpatrick in January 2012. The work, which represents an investment of £2 million by NI Water, will commence in Drumcloon Walk and Quoile Cresent and will then move to Church Street. Work is expected to be completed by July 2013.

NI Water will continue to liaise with Downpatrick DRD Roads Service Traffic Management Section to minimise disruption.

This essential work will reduce the risk of out of sewer flooding, improve river water quality, and improve the sewerage system to meet future growth and demand in the area.

NI Water would like to thank the public for their patience and assure them that everything will be done to minimise disruption while this essential work is completed. Any queries, should be directed to our customer relations centre via Waterline on 08457 440088.
