NI Water is inviting business suppliers to a ‘Supplier’s Day’ on Thursday 29 March 2012 from 9.30 to 14.30. The event, which is being held at the NI Water Training Centre, Antrim, is designed for suppliers and potential suppliers to learn more about NI Water’s procurement requirements over the next 18 months and how to respond to tenders.

Jane Mellor, Head of Procurement at NI Water, explained the purpose of the day:

“NI Water is a multi-million pound enterprise with a budget of approximately £120 million annually. However, we could not operate without the assistance of our suppliers.

“We are keen to make the procurement process within NI Water as simple and accessible as possible for any current or potential supplier. The ‘Suppliers Day’ will provide businesses with the opportunity to meet a procurement officer who will guide them through the range of services required by NI Water and can answer any questions the supplier may have.

“There are tremendous opportunities for large and small tenders within NI Water, so I would strongly encourage the business community to come along and meet our team.”

Those interested in attending the day need to pre-register by completing the registration form available on our website and emailing it to sourcing@niwater.com

NI Water will be issuing an information pack on the day. We also advertise tenders on our website; look under the ‘About Us’ column and then click on 'Tender Opportunities' and then ‘Goods, Materials and Services’.

If you would like further information, please go to http://www.niwater.com/gms2.asp. All requests to attend should be received by 22 March. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
