Mullaghbawn Sewer Improvement Work

19 July 2012 9:45

NI Water would like to inform the public that an essential Sewer Improvement Scheme will commence in early August in the Mullaghbawn area. Improvements will be made to the existing Wastewater Treatment Works and a new sewer will be laid along the Church Road, Mullaghbawn. This programme of work will last approximately 8 months.

£800,000 has been invested in this scheme, which will improve wastewater services in the local area and ensure that wastewater treatment complies with Northern Ireland Environment Agency (NIEA) and European regulations.

NI Water and its contractor BSG Civil Engineering would like to thank local residents, businesses and the travelling public in advance for their co-operation and patience during this essential improvement work. There may be increased traffic in the area and traffic management in place, which may result in some disruption while this work gets underway, but we would like to assure customers that every effort will be made to keep it to a minimum.

NI Water’s customer relations team can also be contacted via Waterline on 08457 440088. Customers with any questions on the scheme should quote “BSG Civil Engineering - Mullaghbawn Sewer Improvement Programme.”
