£90,000 New Storm Sewer Commences- Glen Road, Belfast

06 November 2018 12:01

NI Water will shortly commence work on a new storm sewer on the Glen Road in West Belfast. It is anticipated that work will commence on the 12th November 2018 and will take approximately 6 weeks to complete.

The proposed construction work will involve the installation of 340 metres of storm sewer, starting from an existing Manhole near the Junction to Hamill Park and progressing country bound to serve a new development opposite the Colinvale Court Nursing Home.

Traffic management will be in place and NI Water and our contractor Campbell Contracts Ltd will do everything possible to minimise the impact of these works on residents, road users and the public. In order for the works to be undertaken safely, it will be necessary to have a temporary lane closure in place; two-way traffic will be maintained with the use of temporary traffic lights.

Normal working hours will be 9.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday; however, it may be necessary at times for work to be completed outside of these hours.

NI Water would like to thank the public for their patience and cooperation as we complete this essential new sewer and will do everything we can to ensure the work is completed as soon as practicably possible.
