Water main repair Moneyneany Road Draperstown

12 March 2019 18:45

NI Water would like to inform customers in the Moneyneany area, Draperstown, of a water supply interruption after 8.00pm tonight.

This is to carry out emergency repair work on a burst main on the Moneyneany Road.   We fully appreciate the inconvenience this may cause and can assure customers we will work as quickly as possible to complete the repair.  An NI Water spokesperson explains:

“NI Water were alerted to a burst watermain in the area this afternoon.  Our teams located the burst and have prepared the area in advance of the repair.  We have scheduled the repair to allow customers to have water over the tea time and evening period. We fully appreciate 8pm is early to begin the repair, however, a number of factors, particularly the weather alert in force for this evening, meant we had to consider the health and safety of our staff.   Customers will also be experiencing the impact of the burst with potential low water pressure.  Therefore, we need to strike a balance between carrying out the repair as soon as possible while minimising the impact on our customers.   We would like to thank customers for their patience while this emergency work is being carried out.”

Further details on areas affected and timescales for the repair to be completed can be found on our website www.niwater.com
