Foyle Street to reclose Monday 6th January

03 January 2025 11:23

We would like to remind the public that Foyle Street in Derry/Londonderry will close again to motorists on Monday 6th January to allow our contractor, BSG to recommence the installation of new water and wastewater infrastructure in the area.

Foyle Street – which was temporarily reopened for around 4 weeks over the festive period – will be closed to through traffic between Water Street and Shipquay Place. Pedestrian access and taxi services will be available while work is ongoing.

NI Water and our project team from Arup and BSG are grateful to the local businesses and wider public for their ongoing support as we deliver these essential new water and wastewater improvements.

We will continue to make every effort to complete the next phases of work in the shortest possible timeframe and will keep key stakeholders updated as work progresses.
