Forget tutors and brain-boosting vitamins, the key to exam success could be as simple as a glass of water.
With exams coming to an end, concentration and motivation may be falling but it’s important to stay hydrated.  Water helps to increase concentration and improve memory. NI Water’s Environmental Education Manager, Jane Jackson comments, “One of NI Water's initiatives is 'Water for Health' which is aimed at raising awareness of the importance of drinking water as part of a healthy lifestyle.
“NI Water is keen to encourage young children to drink plenty of water especially during exam time when they can often be tired from studying.  Even slight dehydration can cause feelings of tiredness and reduced alertness, which will affect a child's interest in being active, therefore impacting on their overall wellbeing.”
