23 August 2016 14:48

NI Water is currently undertaking a major Capital works programme to improve the sewerage infrastructure and key pumping stations in the Bangor area. The overall project represents an investment of £3million in the local infrastructure by NI Water.

The next phase of the project will involve replacement of the existing Waste Water pumping station at Castle Park, along with the upgrade of sewers in the area. This essential programme of work, which will improve the bathing water quality in the area is scheduled to get underway in early September and be completed in Winter 2017.

NI Water would like to invite the public along to a public information event, where the NI Water project team will be available to discuss the proposals in more detail.

Date:      Thursday 25th August 2016
Time:      4pm – 7pm
Venue:   Abbey Church Hall
                St Malachy’s Way
                Bangor
                BT20 4JF

This event will provide further information on this essential project, what the project will entail, and explain the longer-term benefits the project will bring to the Bangor area. We will also provide details of traffic management arrangements during construction and the measures that NI Water and our appointed contractor Dawson WAM will take to minimise the impact of these works on the local community.

NI Water would like to thank the local businesses and wider community in advance for their patience and cooperation while we complete this essential improvement work.
