NI Water celebrates International Women’s Day

Today March 8th is International Women’s Day and with NI Water having several inspirational female leaders, this year the focus was to highlight the importance of females in construction and the importance of females in leadership within this sector.
The Office for National Statistics shows that in 2023, the United Kingdom's construction industry witnessed a significant milestone with 15.8% of its workforce being female, a notable 3.2% increase since the pre-pandemic era. With over 340,000 women contributing their skills and expertise, the sector is undergoing a positive transformation.
NI Water wants to encourage more females to work in the construction industry. While it is certainly a step forward to see there is an increase in the number of females in construction-based jobs, NI Water want to promote more females to join this sector.
NI Water is proud to have a workforce full of inspiration females across all sectors of the organisation and is delighted to celebrate them all on International Woman’s Day.
