NI Water, working in partnership with Newry, Mourne & Down District Council are scheduled to commence essential maintenance work at Camlough Reservoir in early 2016.

We would like to take this opportunity to invite the local community to a ‘drop in’ information event on Tuesday 25 August 2015, 6.30pm – 8.00pm at St. Malachy’s Primary School, Chapel Road, Camlough.

Members of the NI Water project team and council officials will be available at any stage between 6.30pm – 8.00pm to provide information on the project and discuss any issues the local community may have.  Everyone is welcome to attend.

Speaking on behalf of Newry Mourne & Down District Council, Chairperson Councillor Naomi Bailie said:

“The Council are pleased to be working in partnership with NI Water to rehabilitate Camlough Lake to provide an enhanced recreational and tourism resource for the future”.

Mark Richardson, NI Water Project Manager added:

“We would like to encourage the local community to come along on the 25 August to get information on the progress of this essential maintenance work and address any concerns they may have. We would like to thank the council and all our stakeholders for their support throughout this project.”
