Hillhall Road Revised Working Hours

05 July 2012 14:01
Further to the recent article regarding the Watermains Improvement Programme on the Hillhall Road, which forms part of an overall £3.5M investment in the Lisburn area, NI Water and our contractor Lagan Construction wish to advise the public of the revised working hours as follows:

The work will still commence on Sunday 15th July 2012. However, the number of working days has increased from 5 to 6 days per week and work will take place between the hours of 8pm and 6am each evening (Sunday through to Friday) over 16 weeks, in order to avoid disruption to weekday traffic flow.

Suggested diversion routes will be via Drumbeg/Ballyskeagh Road and these will be signposted. Access will also be maintained for residents at all times.

NI Water and its contractor Lagan Construction will complete letter drops in directly affected areas to advise residents of this work. We would like to thank the residents and the traveling public in advance for their co-operation and patience during this essential improvement work. There is likely to be some traffic disruption in the area due to the road closure and increased traffic on other routes. There will also be some unavoidable construction noise as the work progresses along the road but we would like to assure customers that every effort will be made to keep disruption and noise to a minimum. All diversions will be clearly signposted.

NI Water’s customer relations team can also be contacted via Waterline on 08457 440088. Customers with any questions on the scheme should quote “Lagan Construction Watermains Rehabilitation Programme – Hillhall Road.”
