Information Request Disclosure Log

Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOI) and the Environmental Information Regulations 2004 (EIR), public authorities, including Northern Ireland Water (NI Water) are obliged to make information available to the public. This includes information placed in the public domain in response to a request for information under the Freedom of Information Act and the Environmental Information Regulations.

This disclosure log lists NI Water’s responses to notable information access requests, both Freedom of Information (FOI) requests and primarily Environmental Information Regulation (EIR) requests, since April 2024.

NI Water are initially focusing on requests regarding wastewater emissions to water bodies and requests regarding Lough Neagh, but as the Scheme expands, the content too will broaden.

We don’t publish personal information as this is exempt from release under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018.

We aim to review and refresh the disclosure log every few months.

You can see the responses to the requests for information by clicking the links in the ‘Request & Response’ column.

If you cannot find a specific request that you are looking for, please do not hesitate to contact NI Water Information Management Unit and we will do our best to make available all the information that the legislation allows the Company to disclose.
