An independent investigation into the contractor fraud allegations raised against NI Water has now concluded, with no evidence of fraud identified.

Following the Deloitte financial forensic investigation commissioned in 2024 which concluded in February 2025, NI Water commissioned an additional independent technical review of 41 sites raised by the whistleblower.  The findings do not support any evidence of fraud, although some process improvement recommendations were made which NI Water welcomes.

NI Water remains committed to continuous improvement and safeguarding value for the public.

The final reports will be available to share once the necessary confidentiality review processes are complete.
