Thanks to great collaboration between our Networks, Operations and Trade Effluent Teams, Trade Effluent Compliance and Investigation Team have concluded two successful enforcement cases.

Linden Foods Ltd and Knysna (NI) Ltd have accepted liability for separate incidents earlier this year which impacted our Wastewater Treatment Works and networks. Each company accepted liability via a Caution for contraventions of The Water and Sewerage Services (NI) Order 2006. Legal costs were reimbursed by Linden Foods Ltd and network costs were reimbursed by Knysna (NI) Ltd as well as a combined charitable donation amount to WaterAid of £5500. 

TECIT continues to work with consented traders to promote compliance, prevent pollution and ensuring NI Waters assets and infrastructure operate effectively.
