A new treatment unit has recently been installed at Cabragh Wastewater Treatment Works in Co. Tyrone, marking a significant step forward in our £2.5 million investment at the site.

The rotating biological contactor (RBC) provides a modern, fully enclosed treatment process, and its compact design makes it an efficient and effective addition to the site.

Once completed in spring next year, the upgraded treatment works will strengthen wastewater services for the community, improve resilience for the future and help protect local waterways, including the River Blackwater.

Thanks to our project team from Tetra Tech and DLJ Water – incorporating Deane Public Works and Avove Ireland – who are working in partnership with NI Water to deliver these improvements.
