NI Water is scheduled to carry out an essential sewer connection on the Ormeau Road, Belfast, between Raby Street and St Judes Parade. The work is to facilitate a new development and will take place between Saturday 4th July and Thursday 9th July 2026.
Saturday 4th July 7am - Monday 6th July 6am:
A one-way road closure will be in place city bound from the junction of Sunnyside Street to Haywood Avenue. Lane two (country bound) will also be closed. Traffic management and detailed diversion signage will be in place at all times. The main diversion routes are via Ravenhill Road, Ormeau Embankment and the Ormeau Road.
Monday 6th July – Thursday 9th July.
Lane one (city bound) will be closed from Sunnyside Street to Haywood Avenue.
NI Water has liaised with all relevant stakeholders including Translink regarding transport services and would like to thank the public in advance for their patience and cooperation while this essential work takes place to install this sewer connection for a new development. The team assures the public that we will do everything possible to complete the work as quickly as possible.
