On International Day of Forests (21st March 2026), NI Water is celebrating how its Regreening Programme is bringing new life to Northern Ireland. In partnership with The Woodland Trust Northern Ireland and DAERA Forest Service, NI Water has planted over 550,000 native trees across its land so far, bringing us closer to reaching our one million target by 2030. NI Water’s Regreening Programme was first launched in 2020 with the aim of supporting biodiversity, clean water, and a vibrant future for generations to come. Pictured are the initial saplings which were planted NI Water’s Dunore Point site in 2020 that continue to flourish, grow and thrive today.
