NI Water is advising the public that permanent reinstatement works on the Cornagrade Road, Enniskillen are scheduled to commence on Sunday 25 October and are expected to be completed by Wednesday 28 October.

These works represent the final permanent reinstatement element of the recently completed water infrastructure improvement project on the Cornagrade Road. The timing of the work has been agreed with DfI Roads and other stakeholders and reinstatement work will be completed during the Halloween holiday period to help minimise disruption to road users.

To facilitate the works, a single lane closure will be in operation on Cornagrade Road throughout the construction period, with appropriate traffic management measures and signage in place to ensure the safe movement of traffic.

Anna Delargy, NI Water Project Manager, said:

"These reinstatement works represent the final stage of our recent water infrastructure improvement project on the Cornagrade Road.

"The work has been scheduled during the Halloween holiday period to help reduce the impact on local traffic and road users.

"Traffic management and signage will be in place throughout the duration of the works and we ask motorists to allow extra time for their journeys where necessary and to follow all instructions on site.

"While the construction and now reinstatement phase draws to a close, the benefits of this investment will continue to serve the community long after the diggers have gone. 

“The upgraded infrastructure will help maintain and improve the resilience of the local water network, supporting customers in the Enniskillen area for many years to come.
