Pipelaying for new development gets underway, Circular Road, Coleraine

26 January 2026 12:00

NI Water is scheduled to commence essential pipelaying work on Circular Road in Coleraine next week to provide the necessary wastewater infrastructure to support a new development.

The work - which will be carried out by Garvagh-based contractor, CivCo - will include the laying of a new surface water pipe and the construction of 4 new manholes on Circular Road between Anderson Park and the new development (near the junction with Abbey Street).

Pipelaying work will commence on Circular Road adjacent to the entrance to The Mall on Monday 2nd February and will progress towards Anderson Park. To enable works to be carried out safely, a lane closure will be required on Circular Road around any working area for the duration of the project.

Before the pipelaying work gets underway, CivCo will carry out some trial holes along Circular Road to ascertain the location of existing services.

NI Water and our project team from CivCo and AtkinsRéalis thank the residents, businesses and motorists for their patience and cooperation while we undertake this essential work to serve new development in the Coleraine area.

Every effort will be made to minimise disruption and complete the work as quickly as possible.
