Our contractor Murphy Dawson WAM JV is progressing well with constructing a new underground stormwater storage tank off the Mill Road, Carryduff that will increase the capacity of the local wastewater network and help support development in the Carryduff/Newtownbreda area.

The next phase of works involves the installation of three new manholes on Mill Road to divert existing wastewater flows into the new storage facility. To complete these works as safely as possible, Mill Road will be closed to through traffic between its junctions with Mealough Road and Old Saintfield Road from Monday 1st June to Friday 19th June.

The working area will be between Mill Road West and Millburn Close. Access for residents will be maintained from either side of the closure and a signed diversion via Saintfield Road will be in place for motorists.
