NI Water has been recognised at the Irish News Business Excellence Awards, winning the Excellence in Skills and Workforce Capability Award and also being named a finalist in the Sustainable Business Award.
The Excellence in Skills and Workforce Capability Award celebrates organisations that demonstrate a strong, long-term commitment to developing skills, building employability and creating a capable, future ready workforce through initiatives such as apprenticeships, graduate programmes and reskilling pathways.
This achievement reflects sustained investment in our people - from our multi-award winning Entry Level Academy and strong focus on personal and leadership development, to our innovative reskilling programmes that have opened opportunities and helped address critical skills needs across the business.
This success is shared across the organisation, recognising the contribution of teams who partner closely with HR to support the development of others.
NI Water CEO Dr Sara Venning said: “This recognition reflects the strength of partnership right across NI Water - from the teams who design and deliver our programmes, to colleagues on the ground who invest so much of their time in training, mentoring and passing on their knowledge. It highlights the role so many people play in building capability and creating opportunities for others across the organisation.”
This achievement reinforces the impact of that collective effort - developing skills, creating opportunity and building a workforce ready to meet the challenges of the future.
