A two-day closure will be implemented on Station Road in Doagh between No.53 Station Road and Templepatrick Road - from Monday 26th October to allow NI Water to carry out essential ground investigation works.
Kieran Grant, NI Water Project Manager, said: “Our contractor Murphy Dawson WAM is undertaking a programme of ground investigations on Templepatrick Road and Station Road in Doagh to gather information that will help inform the design of a wastewater network upgrade currently planned for spring 2027.
“With the Templepatrick Road investigations now complete, work will move to Station Road, with the trial holes scheduled to be undertaken at this location during the Halloween school break to help reduce disruption.
“To allow this work to be completed as safely as possible, Station Road will be closed between No. 53 Station Road and its junction with the A57 Templepatrick Road from Monday 26th October until Wednesday 28th October. Access to all properties on Station Road will be maintained from either side of the works area (located at 40 Station Road) and a diversion for motorists will be signposted via Main Street, Ballyclare Road, Doagh Road and Jubilee Road.
“NI Water and our project team from Murphy Dawson WAM and AECOM thank residents, businesses and motorists for their patience and cooperation while this essential work is carried out. Every effort will be made to minimise disruption and complete the work in the shortest possible timescale.
“Further details on the wastewater network upgrade will be issued once the design is complete and a programme of work has been confirmed.”
