Water Utility Apprenticeship
Apprentice opportunities are available in the Water & Waste Water Production Line function within the Customer Services Delivery (CSD). The Water Production Line is responsible for the treatment and distribution of potable water supplying the customer with the water they need. The Waste Water Production Line is responsible for the provision of a high quality wastewater service, which contributes to the protection of the natural environment and complies with all regulatory and quality standards.
We currently have opportunities for self-motivated and enthusiastic Apprentices at locations across Northern Ireland, who are interested in making a difference to the Northern Ireland water industry and building a career with NI Water.

M&E Services is a support Function which operates within the Customer Services Delivery Directorate maintaining assets for both Water and Wastewater treatment and distribution teams. The Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Services function is responsible for ensuring the ongoing reliability of over 100,000 items of Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation and Safety related equipment for NI Water’s Production Lines.
We currently have opportunities at various locations across Northern Ireland for self-motivated and enthusiastic Apprentices, who are interested in making a difference to the Northern Ireland water industry. This four year programme is designed to provide you with real life on the job experience, to help you develop new skills and gain the knowledge needed to enable you to build a successful career n NI Water. As a Mechanical Engineering Craft Apprentice you will work alongside the Craft Fitter to ensure equipment availability is optimised and that NI Water is able to comply with its regulatory and statutory obligations.
