Drainage Work Continues in Ballycastle

25 August 2009 9:29

Northern Ireland Water (NI Water) is about to embark on the next stage of the Ballycastle-Drainage Area Plan Project. The work, which is expected to commence early in September 2009 and last for 12 weeks, will involve laying a new combined sewer from the football pitches at Quay Road to the Diamond.

Tim Gillespie, Project Manager said:

“NI Water recently met with members of the local business community to inform them of the programme of work and address any concerns. We will continue to keep the paths of communication open as the work continues.

“NI Water and its contractor, Dawson WAM are working closely with Roads Service to ensure any disruption to the public is kept to an absolute minimum. We would like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused by the execution of this essential work and would like to emphasise that we will work to complete the project as quickly as possible”.
