Work Gets Underway at Portaferry Seafront

19 October 2010 13:23

NI Water is scheduled to commence the final stages of the Drainage Area Plan with the relocation of the electrical kiosk at the sea front area of Portaferry.

The work will start during the week beginning 1st November 2010 for a period of 6 weeks. This programme of improvement will upgrade the sewerage infrastructure allowing for future growth and will improve the quality of local sea waters.

During this time, a temporary generator will be installed at the sea front to ensure the safe relocation of the kiosk. There may be an element of disruption during this essential work and residents close to the sea front may experience some noise from the generator for approximately one week.

NI Water and our contractor BSG Civil Engineering would like to thank the public in advance for their co-operation during this vital improvement work and would like to assure customers that every effort will be made to keep any disruption to a minimum.

Any queries should be directed to our customer relations centre via Waterline on 08457 440088.
