Leaflet | NI Water News
NI Water is scheduled to commence essential sewer improvement work this month in the harbour area of Kilkeel. The work, which represents an investment of £310,000 by NI Water, will involve the upgrade of Kilkeel Sewage Pumping Station and the upgrading of sewers in the Kilkeel harbour area. The entire scheme is scheduled to be completed by the Summer of 2011.

This essential work will reduce the risk of out of sewer flooding in the Harbour Road area and potential pollution incidents, improve the current sewerage system to meet future growth and development in the area, and meet Northern Ireland Environment Agency (NIEA) requirements. The scheme will be particularly beneficial for Kilkeel harbour as a food production area.

NI Water and our contractor BSG Civil Engineering would like to thank the public in advance for their co-operation during this vital improvement work and every effort will be made to keep any disruption to a minimum.
