NI Water Continues Water Mains Investment at Park Road

08 February 2011 14:19

NI Water is currently engaged in an ongoing process of improving and upgrading the water supply infrastructure in the Ormeau Road area. This work is good news for the area as the upgraded water mains will dramatically improve the quality, reliability and flexibility of water supply, while also reducing leakage.

As part of this process, it will be necessary to implement a temporary road closure at Park Road. Park Road will be closed to through traffic from its junction with the Ormeau Road to its junction with the Ravenhill Road from 14th February for approximately 4 weeks. A diversion will be available via the Ormeau Road and the Ravenhill Road. Access will be maintained for local residents and emergency traffic.

NI Water and our contractor Farrans Utilities have carried out letter drops in each area to update the residents on this work. We would like to thank the public in advance for their co-operation during this vital improvement work and every effort will be made to keep any disruption to a minimum.

NI Water’s customer relations team can be contacted via Waterline on 08457 440088. Customers with any questions on the scheme should quote Farrans Utilities Water Mains Rehabilitation Programme.
