Forkhill water mains improvement programme

28 March 2011 16:13

NI Water is currently engaged in a process of improving and upgrading the water supply infrastructure throughout Northern Ireland. This work is good news for the area as the upgraded water mains will dramatically improve the quality, reliability and flexibility of water supply, while also reducing leakage.

As part of this process, NI Water would like to advise the public that the Carrickasticken Road, Forkhill will be closed to through traffic from its junction with Newry Road to its junction with New Road, during the hours of 8.00am to 6.00pm from Thursday 7th April – Friday 3rd June 2011. Alternative routes will be signposted during this work.

NI Water and our contractor, Farrans Utilities, would like to thank the public in advance for their co-operation and patience during this essential improvement work and would like to assure customers that every effort will be made to keep disruption to a minimum.

For further information, please contact the Contractor's 24 hour customer care number (0044) 28 9039 4175 quoting “Farrans Utilities Water Mains Rehabilitation Programme.”
