Water Mains Improvement Programme to Commence in Crossmaglen

02 June 2011 9:03

NI Water is currently engaged in a process of improving and upgrading the water supply infrastructure throughout Northern Ireland. This work is good news for the area as the upgraded water mains will dramatically improve the quality, reliability and flexibility of water supply, while also reducing leakage.

As part of this process, NI Water would like to advise the public that Larkins Road, Crossmaglen will be closed to through traffic from its junction with U5455 Monog Road to the Frontier from Monday 13th June 2011 to Friday 8th July 2011. Alternative routes for through traffic will be Ballybinaby Road, Tavnamore Road, Concession Road, Foxfield Road Alley Road and Monog Road, and these routes will be signposted during this work.

NI Water and our contractor, Farrans Utilities, would like to thank the public in advance for their co-operation and patience during this essential improvement work and would like to assure customers that every effort will be made to keep disruption to a minimum.
