27 June 2011 9:27

NI Water will be carrying out essential improvements to the sewerage infrastructure in the Steeple Road area of Antrim from the 17th July 2011 for approximately 8 weeks. The purpose of this work is to install new sewers in Steeple Road which are essential to improve the existing infrastructure and allow for new and future developments in the area.

As with all work of this nature, there will be an element of disruption and traffic management will be in place. Night-time working (7pm-7am) will also be implemented to keep any disruption to a minimum, with the road fully open outside of these hours. From 7pm – 7am, access to and from Steeple Road Industrial Estate will be via Steeple Road or Oriel Road. All diversions will be signposted and access to houses and businesses off Steeple Road will be maintained at all times for the duration of the works.

Once complete, this work will improve the sewerage infrastructure in the area and will meet the needs of new developments and future growth in the Steeple Road area.

NI Water would like to thank the public in advance for their patience and cooperation, and assure them that we will do everything we can to complete the work as quickly as possible.
