Cushendall and Cushendun Water Mains Improvement Programme

14 February 2012 14:46

NI Water is pleased to announce that work will get underway in the Moyle Council area on our ongoing water mains improvement programme. This work represents an investment of approximately £1 million in the area, and will involve improving and upgrading the water supply infrastructure between Cushendall and Cushendun. The programme of work will get underway at the beginning of March and will continue until August 2012. This work is good news for the area as the upgraded water mains will improve the reliability and flexibility of water supply, drinking water quality and will also help reduce leakage.

This work will be completed in sections and traffic management including signage will be in place throughout this work. Further updates will be available once the scheme gets underway.

NI Water and our contractor Farrans Construction will carry out letter drops in affected areas to advise residents of this work. We would like to thank the public in advance for their co-operation and patience during this essential improvement work. There may be some disruption and delays in the area at peak times during this work, but we would like to assure customers that every effort will be made to keep disruption to a minimum.

NI Water’s customer relations team can be contacted via Waterline on 08457 440088. Customers with any questions on the scheme should quote “Farrans Utilities Water Mains Rehabilitation Programme”.
