Sloan Street, Dungannon: Storm Sewer Information Event – Tuesday 4th October

26 September 2016 11:59

NI Water will be commencing work in mid-October on a new storm sewer on Sloan Street, Dungannon. It is anticipated that the work will take approximately 10 weeks to complete.

This work will involve laying a new storm sewer within Barrack Street, Georges Street and Sloan Street which will be completed in phases. The new storm sewer is being laid to serve the newly developed housing complex on Sloan Street, formerly the bakery site. This work will help to reduce the risk of out-of-sewer flooding and provide environmental improvements.

NI Water would like to invite the public along to a public information event, where the NI Water project team will be available to discuss the proposals in more detail. Our team will be available at any time from 4.30pm-6.30pm to provide information on the project and discuss any issues or concerns local residents or business owners may have.

Date:      Tuesday 4th October 2016
Time:      4.30pm – 6.30pm
Venue:   Tower Room – Ranfurly House
                26 Market Square, Dungannon
                BT70 1AB

Traffic management arrangements will be in place and it will be necessary to have lane/road closures in place at certain locations in order to allow the work to be carried out safely. Where lane closures are in place, two-way traffic flows will be maintained with the use of temporary traffic lights and diversion routes will be clearly signposted for any road closures. Every effort will be made to minimise the impact to traffic and businesses in the area.

NI Water and our contractor Quinn Automatic would like to thank the local businesses and wider community in advance for their patience and cooperation while we complete this essential improvement work.
