NI Water has commenced work at the Greggs Quay side of the River Lagan adjacent to the Queens Bridge. This is part of the ongoing Queens Bridge Sewer Upgrade Project.

This work involves the refurbishment of an existing chamber on the sewers and associated repairs. The original sewers and associated chambers in this area are over 100 years old and are now in need of urgent repair to ensure their continued operation.

Works are being carried out between 8am and 6pm daily, during which time pedestrian and cycle movements are being managed by a dedicated operative on site, the site is cleared at the end of each day. Works are due to completed in mid-August.

NI Water and our contractor Dawson WAM would like to thank the public for their patience and cooperation during the completion of these essential works. We assure you that we will do everything that we can to keep all disruption to a minimum, and ensure the work is completed as soon as practicably possible.

ENDS.
