Newry Road, Armagh – Urgent Sewer Connection

NI Water will commence work on an urgent sewer connection on the Newry Road, Armagh on Sunday 11th October 2020, we anticipate the work will take approximately 3 days to complete. These works are required to address an ongoing flooding issue in the area.

Traffic management arrangements for the works will be as follows:

Road Closure - Sunday 11th October

The Newry Road will be closed between the junctions with Folly Lane and Ashley Park from 6am on Sunday 11th to 6am on Monday 12th to allow a road crossing to be undertaken. A diversion will be clearly signposted via A28 Markethill Road, B78 Mullaghbrack Road, A51 Hamiltonsbawn Road, A51 Barrack Hill, Goal Square, A3 Friary Road and A28 Newry Road.

Lane Closure off Peak - Monday 12th / Tuesday 13th October 

On Newry Road between the junctions with Folly Lane and Ashley Park from 9.30am to 4.30pm on Monday 12th & Tuesday 13th October. During this time two-way traffic will be maintained with the use of temporary traffic signals.
