Local School Engagement - Young environmental champions

 | NI Water News

To celebrate the start of our mission to plant 1 million trees we challenged Primary 7 pupils, in schools local to our first planting sites in Dunore and Fofanny catchment areas, with the task of designing a poster to highlight the exciting environmental projects we are undertaking. We had some fantastic entries and with help from the Woodland Trust NI we chose a winning entry from each area.

Congratulations to our winner from the Fofanny area, Ava from St Patricks PS, Mayobridge and in the Dunore Area P7’s from Ballymacrickett PS. Both winners have won themselves an NI Water goodie bag and a native Silver Birch tree for their school, kindly donated by Woodland Trust NI.
