Project Overview
This extensive project, located off Moygashel Lane, is the first step in creating a robust wastewater system that will support future social and economic growth in the Dungannon area while ensuring environmental protection.
The original plant, which dates back to the 1970s, is undergoing a transformation that will increase its capacity by 75% from its original design. Once complete, this £44 million investment will enable the plant to serve the equivalent of over 100,000 customers, both domestic and trade.
Local contractor GEDA Construction (Coalisland) and Newry-based Water Solutions Ireland are the main contractors for this project, with McAdam providing technical and project management support. Numerous other local businesses in the supply chain will continue to be used where possible throughout the project's duration.
This upgrade is a testament to NI Water's commitment to enhancing infrastructure and supporting the community's economic growth and development.
