We are a Government Owned Company (GoCo) – which is a statutory trading body owned by central government but operating under company legislation. This means that the Company’s corporate governance structure and compliance is with the Companies Act 2006 and the principles of good corporate governance as set out in the UK Corporate Governance Code, where appropriate.
As a Non-Departmental Public Body (NDPB) sponsored by the DfI, the Company’s sole Shareholder, the Company takes into consideration the relevant governance provisions in the Department of Finance (DoF) guidance entitled ‘Managing Public Money Northern Ireland’ (MPMNI).
The Company has a Partnership Agreement in place with DfI and DoF to provide further clarity and accountability to our stakeholders.
