NI Water is 'Nuts' About Red Squirrels

To mark Red Squirrel week, commencing on 3rd – 11th October, NI Water along with some local school children went on a squirrel scavenger hunt at Silent Valley Mountain Park.
Red squirrels are native to Ireland and are one of the most loved animals in the UK. Currently, there are an estimated 40,000 red squirrels throughout Ireland, however, its future is increasingly uncertain as the population of the grey squirrel, who out competes them for resources, is increasing.
