Roadworks on Camlough Road, Newry

05 July 2011 9:46

NI Water is currently engaged in a process of improving and upgrading the water supply infrastructure throughout Northern Ireland. This work is good news for the area as the upgraded water mains will dramatically improve the quality, reliability and flexibility of water supply, while also reducing leakage.

As part of this process, NI Water would like to advise the public that the Camlough Road in Newry will be closed to through traffic from its junction with A25 Camlough Road roundabout to its junction with B133 Millvale Road from Sunday 10th July 2011 to Friday 15th July 2011 from 9.30am to 7pm daily. Alternative routes for through traffic will be A1 Newry Bypass, A28 Armagh/Gosford Road, B133 Bessbrook/Millvale Road, and these routes will be signposted during this work.

NI Water and our contractor, Lagan Construction, would like to thank the public in advance for their co-operation and patience during this essential improvement work and would like to assure customers that every effort will be made to keep disruption to a minimum.

NI Water’s customer relations team can be contacted via Waterline on 08457 440088. Customers with any questions on the scheme should quote 'Lagan Construction Water Mains Rehabilitation Programme'.
