Sewer Upgrade Work to Begin in Lone Moor Rd, L'Derry

04 October 2011 11:40

NI Water will be carrying out upgrade work on the sewage and storm water system in the Lone Moor Road / Foyle Rd area of Londonderry. Work will commence on site on the 17th October 2011 and will last approximately 4 weeks.

As with all work of this nature, there will be an element of disruption and traffic controls will be in place on the Lone Moor Road during this period. However, two-way traffic will be maintained at all times.

This work is part of a wider £28 million investment programme for the sewerage infrastructure in the city. The work will reduce the risk of out of sewer flooding and will meet the city’s existing and future development needs on both sides of the River Foyle.

NI Water and its contractor, BSG Civil Engineering would like to thank the public in advance for their patience, and assure them that we will do everything we can to complete the work as quickly as possible.

Customer queries regarding this work should be directed to Waterline on 08457 440088 quoting KL447 Foyle Rd Work Package.
