Sewer Improvement work gets underway on Lisburn Road

27 October 2011 11:10

NI Water will be carrying out essential improvements to the sewerage infrastructure in the Lisburn Road area by installing a storm sewer from Drumglass Park to Mowhan Street. This work will involve a two lane closure of the right hand lanes (Belfast Bound) from Friday 28th October to Monday 7th November 2011. Please note that two-way traffic will still be in place at all times and no diversions will be necessary. This essential work will reduce the risk of flooding and will allow for existing and future development in the area.

As with all work of this nature, there will be an element of traffic disruption, however this work has also been planned to coincide with Halloween school closures which will reduce the amount of disruption on the road. NI Water and its contractor, O’Neill Contracts Ltd, would like to thank the public in advance for their patience and cooperation, and assure them that we will do everything we can to complete the work as quickly as possible.

Customer queries regarding this work should be directed to Waterline on 08457 440088.
