Road Closure: B30 Newry Road, Crossmaglen

27 October 2011 15:01

NI Water is currently engaged in a process of improving and upgrading the water supply infrastructure throughout Northern Ireland. With winter fast approaching, this work is good news for the area as the upgraded water mains will dramatically improve the quality, reliability and flexibility of water supply, while also reducing leakage.

As part of this process, NI Water would like to advise the public that the B30 Newry Road in Crossmaglen will be closed to through traffic, from its junction with A29 New Road to the junction of the Drummill Road from Monday 31st October 2011 until Friday 4th November 2011. The closure is to facilitate reinstatement of the road following our recent water mains work.

Alternative routes for through traffic will be New Road, Dundalk Road, Cullyhanna Road, Skerriff Road, Freeduff Road, Cloghoge Road, Carran Road and Newry Road.

NI Water and our contractor, Farrans Construction, would like to thank the public in advance for their co-operation and patience during this essential improvement work and would like to assure customers that every effort will be made to keep disruption to a minimum.

NI Water’s customer relations team can be contacted via Waterline on 08457 440088. Customers with any questions on the scheme should quote “Farrans Water Mains Rehabilitation Programme”.
